i guess i'm leaning towards something with a bit more room, the next Porsche will have to resurrect itself as a 3rd car. does anyone have anything good/bad to say about these? I'm about to pull the trigger on one tomorrow. No, I don't want an M5, i find the design to be a bit tired, and the M3 is just a bit small for what I'm looking for. Cadillac CTS-V?? Wife doesn't care for it much. do any of these work?? any other cars I should be looking at at these price points??

by the way, i will always remain a member of this wonderful forum.

mercedes e500 amg kit

If you're gonna spring for an E500, might as well get the E55.

I test drove the S-type R and was fairly impressed. Good accelration and it was so comfortable. Enough room inside for the family (two little one) and the back seat was comfortable for two adults. Handling was good, but the steering was numb.

For a performance luxury car with the priority as luxury you can't go wrong. I was worried about the resale value. IMHO the Benz will hold its value for far longer than the Jag.

For the fun of it I also checked out the Audi S4. I was really impressed! More room inside than my wife's old 3-series BMW but with a healthy dose of acceleration and grip. Living in the East I also thought the quattro system was a huge plus.

look @ the c55

I have a 2k2 c32 and Targa, and they are both as much fun as each other (in different ways of course)

The c32/c55's will surprise you... and most others on the road.

Good Luck with your decision!

If he is looking at the E then the C will be WAY to small for him. Great car though...gives the M3 a run for its money (the C55 that is). Shame the C55 has similar performance numbers yet cost 10K more though.

I mentioned the "c" b/c he also checked out the S4. I agree, the E is bigger but I changed my mind after driving the "c 32" and the "e". As far as the M3, I haven't had to bow to one yet and with the PSS-9's going on soon, I will probably be able to handle the corners a little better too
