one thing i learned in selling my first P-Car
not everyone appreciates the modifications/add-ons as much as you do. in fact, in the inquiries that i had, only 2 individuals actually "cared" for them, most others did not. i'm starting to wonder if listing the modifications in the ad (auto-trader) cost me potential bidders. anyhow, i think i would think twice before doing them next time, all but the wheels/tires.

All the mods are great BUT don't be biased by what you hear about on the Boards ... 99 % of the population do not modify their cars and you will always have problems explaining them to potential buyers. I personally would not list them.

You're right, it's always better to part out the mods and sell them separately. Even though I've fixed-up every car I've ever owned, I will only buy a vehicle if it's bone stock. You'll be lucky if you get 25% of the value of the mods in your selling price.
