996 Turbo decklid on a NB 996

Can a 996 turbo decklid fit a NB 996? No interest in having the upper wing move. Thanks

Why not just buy my wing (GT2M wing that installs onto your existing decklid and simply just replaces the retractable wing already on the stock decklid)......

no, it does not fit- but I hear that it can be modified to fit, try rennlist?
I've seen some aftermarket turbo decklids w/ wing on ebay for sale that are made for NB996, not sure of quality though.

IMHO the GT3 or GT2 wing looks so much better on nb cars.

Turbo lid WONT fit without LOTS of modification....if you want that look...but the TT style wing for the NB cars....Especially if you dont car about it raising up and down. The decklid itself is a different shape because the widebodies have different light and its a different length, then its got the pistons to make it raise and lower which hot the airbox in the NB 996...so after modding your airbox and doing the mods on the decklid you ar e gonna be at about 2-3x the cost of the aftermarket wing and decklid....

They have them here:

What he said...and next time try using the SEARCH feature...quite handy...and this subject has been discussed to death...so let me save you some time. Search and dont ask about:

Whats the best exhaust for my XXX?
What is the best radar detector?
Where can I get a clearbra? Does a clearbra really work?
Do the ebay $99 headers work?
Do Turbo wheels fit on my NB? Will a spacer fix it?

and on and on and on....

Thanks for the replies. I am REALLY sorry I upset Asian Image. If you dont want to answer why not just not answer. Instead you feel the need to reprimand people who are just looking for some info. It makes participating in this (and other) forums an poor experience. Also, If I want to ask a question there is no rule that says I need to do a search. I didnt know you were made Forum King to decide who can and cant receive replies.

i'll never understand why people want to put on the turbo wing on any other car than a turbo. that thing is more function than form and it was never designed to run on a narrowbody anyways so cross out function. so after all that $ spend and time, you get neither function nor form. the thing is ugly.

the only wing i'd put on an nb 996 is the GT3 wing on the mk2 or the taco full aerokit on the MK1s.

oh...nooo I was not reprimanding you...or am I the least bit upset. But you just said it...you are "just looking for some info" and that info exists...in tons and tons of previous threads. I am not forum king or am I even a mod. I am just HELPING you...if you are truly experienced in online forums as I assume this is not your first one...you can understand...that you begin to see a pattern of the same exact questions popping up over and over. So we as a community need to point people in the right direction. Your question is valid...and nothing wrong with it. But if you did some research and used the search you would found pages and pages of info, DIY, how people of done the mod, what options, costs...everything you could possibly want to know.

So...no offense to you at all...and I was not trying to "ruin" your online experience at all. c'mon its only the internet!
