VF Engineering Coming Out With Stage 2 Supercharger!!
No go on Stage II... below is an email reply from Sean dated May 15, 2009.
Hi Doug,
Sorry about the late response, it seems that half of my contact form
messages went to spam!
We are working on a stage 2 for the 997 however it does not look like
the 996 will get a stage 2 at this time.
There are a few limitations with the fuel system on the 996 that the 997
has addressed. This is the major hurdle in getting more power out of the
kits.
Thanks for your inquiry!

Ditto. Not what we wanted to hear
, but I'm glad to get the low-down. Any way to safely get 450 hp out of the Stage I? Otherwise it looks like a ECU flash/CAI is in my future, along with an agonizing wait for a future TT or GT-R...Oh well. I need to save money for racing wheels/tires/track fees/etc. anyway...
But with 420 hp in my 2000 996 that weighs only 2909 lbs that could make me pretty fast.....I have done the RSS plenum, GIAC chip and EVOM air induction system
and my fellow 3.4 996 pals well swear I am noticeably faster then them being stock....
and my fellow 3.4 996 pals well swear I am noticeably faster then them being stock....
No dyno runs....Only on the road in acceleration runs up to 80 mph.....Also, I'm able to run exactly wheel to wheel with the V8 Aston Martin up to 100 mph.....and that's with my present mods and no supercharger.....
no i meant with the n/a 3.4l without SC's. Do you pull them night and day? Like from stop to 80 how many car lengths?
Running against another 3.4 996 from 0 to 60 I can lead by 1 1/2 car lengths in mid-day......don't run the car hard at night because I can't see you know who as well.........if you wanted to do 1 thing that will make a difference do the RSS plenum.....but the chip helps but the Evom air induction system and PSE sound awesome...it all about feeding the senses isn't it.....I now have 63,000 miles on the car and so far no engine problems.....but am aware of the possiblilty of an engine failure in the 996 engine......
