Has anyone done it? Do you know if you can buy the two plastic bushing that you destroy to install the B&M unit.

I installed the B&M unit and I think I just dont like it.

It works fine, I just dont like the feel. I ordered a 997 shifter too, for the other 996 we have. I guess I'll see if I like that one better.

But I was just wondering if its easy to get those plastic bushings.

stock throws suck. i love my B&M and all this coming from an exS2000 owner.

 

Or since you are in RI and I am in MA I can swap my whole stock unit for yours.......

 

i just ordered another 997 shifter. called local porsche dealer, they wont sell just the small white bushings separately.

so, as a warning for those who are contemplating the B&M, there is no turning back once you break those bushings!

make sure you try one out before you install it to see if you'll like it.
