996 muffler bypass, would this work?

the 996 TT guys really like this mod for their mufflers. They dyno'd this and actually have seen an increase in HP and TQ. I read the whole thread and it seems awfully easy to do and everyone loves it. It started out just being for better sound. The increase in HP was an added bonus.
Would this work on a 996 C2. I already have a Fabspeed muffler/headers and EVOMS intake. My car sounds great but could be a little louder at full throttle and the free HP/TQ would be great. Has anyone tried this and if yes, what were your results. I still have my oem mufflers, maybe I'll look at doing the mod on those. Thanks.

They are the bad-assest mufflers I've ever used, and I've been throug hseveral mufflers and a set of bypass pipes. $200 off if you call / order before July 4.

more than I expected- especially the TQ- very noticeable right off the line, even with my sloggy tip!
