996 Rear Reflector Panel

Guys i have a narrowbody and im trying to make it look as close to a C4S as I can. I have a TT Front put the MKII Sideskirts on it now im getting the TT Rear Bumper Mod done. The last thing which I think makes the C4S a unique 996, the rear reflector stripe. Has anyone modded this on their 996? I know they have those cheesy replicas, but I was think of having my body man do up something. Just trying to get some ideas. Thanks guys

Why not get the real deal if you like it that much more?
Changing out parts, upgrades and mods are one thing but changing the car to make it look like something else is a bit on the fake side.
I have no intentions to **** you off or insult you in any way, just my opinion.

I'd love to get a 997S one day, but would not never buy a 997 and then get the S badge.

As long as it works out for you it's all good and all that matters.
I hope it does

I hear you guys, with having a wannabe sorta speak. But I still have 2half years left on my finance term and dont feel like trading the car in and getting another car. If I would do that like u said I would do a new 997 s or a new 997 C4S. I dont know well see what happens

As long as you don't re-badge it as a C4S I don't see what the big deal is. I must admit I'm curious to see what the red reflector would look like on a C2.

Cabova,

I don't want this response to seem as I'm raining on your parade, but I think it is very difficult to add the C4S reflective strip to the existing engine hatch without it looking "cheesey" .

I tried to help a 6speed guy last year or so with the similar intent. It seems the major challenge is the reflective strip is designed to match the tail-light design of the C4S such that it's width is matched to the red portion of the tail-light as well as the engine hatch in the C4S is relieved in the area of the strip to allow it to be 'flush" with the hatch exteior surface. See attached pics to illustrate my post.

good luck !!!! demosan

Thanks man for the help. I think my body guy can do something so that it wont look gaffed. I would have to maybe even try to get a C4S Reflector from a P Dealer.

As for putting a C4S badge on after i wouldnt do that ill put a Turbo one on haha. Thanks guys for the help and ill keep ya posted.

Regarding the Original Poster's question. Can you simply swap engine lids from a C4S?

Has anyone tried adding lights under the reflector to mimic the 992?
