My car is being shipped next week on Friday and needs a set of rear tires, 285/35/18 Toyo TR1. The Indy says the tires are out of stock, and has no idea when they will become available.

I want my car delivered with new rubber, so does anyone know where i can get a set of these rears in the Dallas area quickly? Other option is to buy a set of rims and tires and sell the current set to the indy who will sell them once the rears become available. They are OEM 18" Carrera Classic's light weight with 98% left on the fronts but need the rears

So anyone have 18" GT3's or 19" Carrera S/sport (multi spoke wheels) with good rubber that is close to Lewisville Texas, I would need them to arrive before next thursday as the car ships Friday.

Oh forgot, they need to fit an 03 C2.

 

Also forgot Indy called this afternoon and said he just took in a set of 18" 08 Carrera S wheels with original tires that have only 1000 miles on them, he already has a buyer for the wheels but will sell me all four tires 235/30/18 and 295/35/18 for 600 installed, but I dont think they will fit the 18" Carrera Classics i have properly, i think the rims are 8"front and 10" rear, I would need rims that are atleast 10.5" or 11" in the rear, would'nt I?

If someone has rims that are compatible with the tires the indy has available, i would be interested in those as well. Sorry for all the rambling.

 

Check your sizes. Don't you want a 285/30R18? The 295's will fit on a 10" wheel just fine, but I think a 295/35 is too tall.

 

I'm in Dallas so if you need something let me know. I leave today at 6 for a trip to New Orleans but can check something for you if need be

 

Thanks for the offer MCM97, I will let you know if I need something. I am also swaping out my GT3 Black leather sport seats in near new condition for the GT3 racing style seats, know of anyone in the area that is looking for some and could pick them up at the indy?

What are the correct sizes that would come OEM for the 18" Carrera Classic's light weight, I think they are 8" fronts and 10" rears. The tires the indy has are 235 fronts and 295 rears, would they fit without looking like donuts and bulging on the side walls, I like the tapered look. The tire came off an 08 C2S.

295/35s will have a larger diameter thus your car will spool up slower. it will fit though. i will not run 295/35s. 295/30s are GT3 spec.

 

I don't have any pics of the seats, it's at Fifth gear motorsports in Lewisville right now. The car is an 03 C2 with factory GT3 aero.

LOVE the GT3 aero look - in fact I am looking for a Taco Wing now. If you need a place to keep them in Dallas I have a decent size garage I can put them in and they'll be covered.

 

That would be great to have a place to leave them if Fifth Gear does'nt take them in on trade for the other seats. I must say I have been thoroughly impressed with Rick and Rick Jr, very thorough and seem like they know Porsches very well.

Check the Classifieds here, Rennlist and Ebay, I recall seeing a white GT3 decklid with wing for sale, 997 version. I have the MK2 Gt3 wing on mine but like the Taco or 997 version much better. I will let you know if I come across a nice Pink Taco!

 

lol - it's the weekend, pink taco is everywhere. Yeah, just let me know. I can head up there with the X5 and snag them.

And if you see a taco wing out there that will fit a 996 keep your buddy in Dallas in mind
