Needed: Fabspeed installation instructions

FedEx delivered my Fabspeed maxflo mufflers today, but Fabspeed didn't send the instructions that are supposed to be included.

I seem to remember on one of the boards a step-by-step muffler installation guide complete with pictures somewhere, but I cannot locate it.

If any of you guys know where this link is or can scan and email me the directions I'd really appreciate it. Its a beautiful Saturday and I want to get cracking on the job.

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Check the maxspeed motorsports site I believe they have a step by step instructions on muffler installation. If I remember right it also has some pictures. Good Luck.

  1. Safely jack up as per Porsche owners manual and always use jack stands. Spray some WD40 or lubricant on the band clamp that connects the catalytic converter to the muffler and then loosen 2 17mm nuts (2 13mm on 997) and then slide the clamp towards the cats. Remove the cars rear wheels for more clearance to aid in removing the mufflers.
  2. BEHIND THE 996 and GT3 HEADERS remove 3 quantity 13mm hex nuts on studs. Then remove the mufflers from the car.
  3. Remove the long and short bolt that holds the mounting bracket to the 996, GT3 muffler and attach these to the new mufflers.
  4. Don’t overtighten. Then with spray LUBE remove the clamps that hold the tips to the mufflers. Notice the orientation of the clamps and then install the TIPS onto the Fabspeed mufflers and tighten 66% so the tips can still slightly swivel for adjustment. Lubricate as needed. YOU SHOULD DEFINETELY get the Fabspeed V-band clamps for your 996 and GT3 as they make installing the tips a BREEZE and save your hands.
  5. Lift the 996, GT3 mufflers and 1st get the studs to go through the 3 holes and install the 3 13mm hex nuts and tighten.
  6. Lastly, slide the band clamps back down and tighten the 2 hex nuts.
