Took me about 6-7 hours but that was my first time. I'm sure I can do it in about 4 hours this second time around. This is with the part already painted.

I wouldn't say so. If I had to do it all over again, I would stick with the OEM MKI Aerokit.

Back when I bought my 996, all I wanted was the turbo and more updated look. As I learned more about porsches and 996, I now rather have it more original and not as frankenstien-ish look.

I like the aero kitted MKI alot. For the non aero kit ones, I agree that it looks dated.

hatr: facelift means upgrading the front fender / headlight / bumper from a 99-01 to a 02+

The facelift has it's fans and those of us with the older look prefer that too.

I prefer the aero MKII look with new headlights over of the boxster looking headlights, but thats my opinion.. plus I kept all of the original parts, if I want to go for original look.

i went with the facelift, mk2 sides and the turbo rear...... wingless though.... so i looks like a c4s without the s, the 4, and the rear tailgate
