Red face

There is no Reverse Gear on the 996!

Only real men drive 911's (or beautiful women ) so they get out to push if they need to back it up! (or pretty girls get buff guys to do it!)
Who needs Horsepower when you got MANPOWER!

.
.
.

hehe ... but on a serious note .. isn't there usually a small diagram of it on top of the ****?

Man, you guys can be rough sometimes.

The porsche DOES HAVE REVERSE!!! All you need to do is rev it to 7000 rpms before you put it into 1st gear and release the clutch.

Sorry DC, we are all only kidding- do not do what I said and there really is no reverse.

Second tip, key goes in on the left side of steering wheel. First time I test drove one I was looking. Tell the truth I was not the only one!

Hey, when I got home years ago with my first Audi Quattro I had to find the manual to get it into reverse . . . [it was a "push down then shift"]

here's a little secret that makes these cars fast. When you get it above 100 look down on the gear shift for the "R". That stands for "race". Slam it in that gear and HOLD ON!

Well.......rental co gave me a Saab 9.3 convertable in Orlando last week.

I looked on the right.....nope. Ok, must be on the left like my P car....nope.

I sat in that dark parking garage for about ten min, feeling stupid till I finally found it! Damn Swedes.

Nothing worse than stopping at a service station with your car rental
and you discover that you don't have a clue how to access the fuel filler cap.

Also searched in vain the first time I drove my 996.

Lesson learned: RTFM
