Help: Taking off Side Markers to Change Bulbs

I've read that they just pull right off. Will this break the clasps? I think I remember reading that someone took them off to change the bulb and it wouldn't snap back in. Thanks in advance.

daytrader is infamous around these parts
Just pull toward you. It has metal clip. In some case, the unit is old or just bad luck the rear plastic housing can break along side the metal clip.

With the clear/smoke side markers, what color bulbs would everyone recommend using? Since I'm going to change them, I'd like to use something other then the orange bulb.

i just use the clear bulbs...
from the factory the amber sides should have the clears, and clear sides w/ amber bulbs

my main reason for leaving the clears was the bulbs were too hard to remove for me when I did the swap to clear markers, so just left them.
And if the sidemarker itself is easier to remove then the bulbs are to remove, that shoudl give you an idea how easy... like daytrader said- just pull towards you.

yeah go clear bulbs for side markers. You dont want the crazy egg yolk look when the lights are off.

Ditto on the clear bulb. It will match your parking lights. I'm using a "super white" bulb to assist in diminishing the yellowish look of standard clear bulbs.

Mine is a garage queen. The age plays a role in it. Mine both broke when I removed the bumper to clean the radiators.......

Be very careful, as I really wasn't.
