The most aggressive way to correct severe hazing is to wet sand the headlight with 1500-3000 grit sand paper. Then machine polish with a medium intensive paint polish and pad to get rid of the sanding marks. Once polished, you need to seal the headlights with a paint sealant. The result will be like-new headlight lenses.

i've the passenger side lens cover and it turned out pretty good. will do the driver's side when i can make the time. here's the process:
1) wet sand with 2000 grit sandpaper
2) polish with menzerna SIP with orange LC pad on orbital set to 5
3) polish with menserna NANO with blue LC pad on orbital set to 3
4) finish with plexus

What kind of paint sealant do you mean?

I recommend Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection. It's important to seal the headlights with a chemical sealant or the haze can come back.

That is our sticky on fixing our hazy headlights. As some stated Meguiars Plastix is great but if you want to do more work, wet sanding helps even more.

Heat may also gradually cause hazing from the inside of the headlight lenses.
Unfortunately, it appears not much can be done about that.
My 2002 996 C4 cab has this issue.
Bit of a bummer

Did mine 6 months ago by Walmart(nope no connection whatsoever), was in a rush to get it done, they spend an 1 1/2 hr for both very dull/yellow set of headlight lenses, and only charged $38 total.
Would do it again if the need arose, cannot get the Material and or labor for that price, and they came out like new.
