Do i need to take off spacer for after market wheel?

Hi all:

I have a 2003 c4S, and have purchased a set of 19" HRE 841r off a 996 turbo. I know they are suppose to have the same offset. My question is, when I read the owner's manual, on page 209, it mantioned about spacer ring in front of the car and in the back as well. Does the C4S really have spacer rings on it? if so, do I have to take off the spacer rings to put on the HREs?

Thanks

if the wheels truly fit u won't need hubcentric rings or spacers.
