Good Deal on an 04 in Dallas

I was up at Park Place today in Dallas and they have a silver anniversary edition that is CPO'd till 2010 or 100k miles for $46,900. Seemed like a good deal so I thought I would throw it up here:
http://park-place.porschedealer.com/...ntoryid=423668

Will gladly go look at for someone out of town...

they got those descriptions way wrong.... 18" not 17" wheels, 345hp not 320hp... they forget that has the x51 on there...

Anyone heard anything good or bad about the 04 40th editions? I am currently looking at one very similar to the one above for about the same money and mileage.

I have one and love it. Paid 51k last october with 19,000 miles, nav, clear shield and extended warranty. The price sounds good to me, how many miles?

The one I am looking at has 41440 miles, nav, Certified pre-owned, 2year 50K warranty, both keys, and all books it is listing for $49999. Few small paint dings, inside looks great and smells like a new car.

djhill, how do you like the nav system? Also, I read on the net you can change the exhaut note by pressing a button on the dash?? Is this true? If so where is the button?

Thanks,
Eric

That's only on vehicles optioned with PSE.
The button is to the left of the radio on the 'horse shoe'

Does it make a big difference in the sound? Anything I should look for on one of these models?

Yes, it is a very different sounding exhaust.
I've had 996's with and without, they're both nice.

The nav system is ok. I think the newer systems with the touch screen is much better. The sales literature is very confusing, it makes it sound like the 40th cars come with the PSE. Not true, the car comes standard with alot of really nice options like the X51 motor and LSD rear axle. But not the PSE, too bad!
I found my car on autotrader.com. Do a search and you will find a lot of the 40th 911 cars.

For $3k less and a 100k mile warrant you might want to consider this one
