Swapping clear for amber h/l on a '99 C2

I tried a search but couldn't find anything close.

I have an opportunity to buy a set of new clear headlights and am curious about how to go about swapping them out. Is it a DIY or a job for a dealer/body shop? Any precautions or caveats? About how much should it cost if not a DIY.
Thanks for your comments.

As long as you are doing same bulb type (halogen for halogen) then just follow the headlight removal in the owners manual. High leve it goes like this>

1. open front boot (trunk)
2. unscrew the plastic nuts on sidewalls to peal back carpet
3. remove rubber stopper from sidewall
4. insert the 5mm socket (from toolkit) into hole
5. turn 180 deg to pop out headlight.
6. slide out old unit
7. slide in new
8. turn wrench opposite until it clicks
9. duplicate for other side.
10. replace all covers

Should be 10 min job.

BTW: it looks like you have clear headlights now. Are you talking about the inner yellow lens? In which normal new clears have those. Only way to get rid of those are to hand melt them out and pull them out through bulb hole. Then need to use yellow bulb or the special bulbs or led that light yellow

Your sides are yellow though.

The avatar is not for the car in question. Sorry for the confusion.

The instructions are for changing halogen bulbs etc., not for the entire unit if I'm not mistaken. I'm trying to get rid of the amber turn signal lens. Again, sorry for the confusion.

The whole unit comes out to change the bulbs. So in your case.....

Just follow the above.
