GT3 Decklid Question
GT3 Decklid Question
Hello All! Can anyone help me out with this picture? Is the part number correct and does it mean anything that it was "Made in Switzerland"...
Thanks in advance!!
Cheers!
Thanks in advance!! Cheers!
The one I bought for my 996 had the same markings. It was good quality / fit except for a few stress cracks on the deck pillars. FG decks don't seem to ship too well overseas.
I appreciate all the insight
Deckman - There are no unusual marks on the lid... other then what is in the picture above.
Pacman - I could not agree with you more. It fits perfectly on my 996... alignment and all. It was shipped well, so there were no cracks, stress marks, etc...
I ask all the questions because I am deciding to sell it and I was not sure if it was going to make a price difference or not...

If it's after market, it's a non issue. They should have everything setup just the way it should be. Just set aside about the same money you spent purchasing it, to have it prepped painted and installed. I'm not slamming any one product. I have a techart wing. Doesn't get much more expensive than that. It cost a small fortune to get it prepped, painted, and installed. You would think with what these companies are charging, the parts should be primered and ready to paint. I don't really think that's really too much to ask.

DD - it is an aftermarket wing and yes it did cost an arm and a left toe to prep, prim and paint. I did the installation myself... it is a pretty simple plug and play. It took a little bit to align the decklid right, but it fits like a dream

At least until I part from it... hopefully a fellow 6speeder
