given the choice, I'd go 997, simply because they seem to have so much more headroom than the 996!

(It might just be the 997 seats, which I hope people start to sell...)

 

obviously, the C4S--since this is a 996 forum! But, I'd agree, 996 C4S > 997 C2. I'd try to stretch into a C2S or just wait 6 months to get into one.

Good luck! I don't think you can make a wrong decision, just make sure to get a PPI in either case.

 

i would ask this in the 997 forum, but since i'm here, i'll just ask it here. what are some of the differences between the 997 C2 and C2S besides the horsepower difference?

 

the power of course. then upgraded brakes, PASM suspension is standard on the S, some aerodynamic bits front and rear, different exhaust tips, sport seats, etc.

the heavy hitters for me are: power, brakes, suspension. all better. remember though that most of the upgrades on the S are options on the base 997. so, this is just comparing stock 997 to stock 997S.

 

C4S for sure, but then, I'm a bit partial.
