04 996. changed battery and radio will not work. suggestions

changed the battery in my 04 c2 and found an error on my stock radio. the error is "cd changer and amplier not connected". i took the deck apart and changed the burnt fused and still an error. tested the porsche amplifier and cd changer and they are getting power. the GPS and presets are working fine. the dealer said that the 04 does not need a code . that is for the 05-08's. any suggestions. i am not getting and sound for the deck.
prefer not go to the dealer

There are two fuses for the radio / amp. One is on the back of the HU and the other is in the fuse block. If the fuse block is OK then check on either side of the one that you believe is the correct one. That fixed mine. When you jump the 996 it tends to blow all of the radio fuses.
