Any time you want to quit street racing and come show me how it's done on the track that's fine. I'd love to see you drive Ben.

Back on topic. Here's some pics to illustrate the "scale" of the GTR.

The word "massive: comes to mind

Indeed it took a bold Nissan designer to incorporate Pontaic Aztek styling cues into the design of the GTR...
I suspect lots of alcohol was involved as working with "beer goggles" on is how many mistakes with fat chicks seem to occur...

Man I loved the look of the GTR until I saw it in white. Boy that thing is ugly. Definitely not like the flow of a Ferrari or Porsche.

As for the ZR1, I've heard that the Corvettes are bulletproof compared to any other car in it's class...

store it? to make money off it and to insinuate somehow this makes the zr1 a better car than the GTR?

zr1 is cool and the gtr is cool. zr1 is fast as hell, but who amongst us can even begin to exploit the limits of these beasts time and talent and hobby $s involved?

I never insinuated that the potential for appreciating value make the ZR1 a better car than the GT-R. If that logic was applied, the Honda Civic would be leaps and bounds better than a Ferrari F430. What I was trying to get at is that this car has the potential to be a collectible; a pretty significant car in automobile history. For real car afficianados who can appreciate cars for more than their "baller status" to the masses, that might actually mean something.

Is it me or the GTR's front looks like the new Eclipse's front end?

I find the GTR quite ugly, bulky, and way too busy looking. Maybe in time I will get used to its looks and like it.

The ZR1 has
- More power
- Way less weight
- Better interior
- Better looks

I would take the Z06 over both for sure the weight does not off set the HP if ou ask me.

ZR1 is supposed to be much more manageable than the Z06. I only know one Z06 owner and he describes it as scary at high speed. He's got a ZR1 on order to replace it.

Either way, I'd also rather have a 997tt than either the GTR or any Vette. There will always be a faster car than mine, no matter what I have. But, a Porsche is something special in a way that a Chevrolet or a Nissan never can be.

While I think the corvettes look good, I saw a dark grey GTR in person and it looked very impressive. The vette is a performance monster, sure, and has racing pedigree (although the GT1 class in ALMS pretty...umm...non-competitive?), and will probably sell plenty.

If it were my money, between the two I'd get the GTR. But even before that, I'd opt for a 360 or a used R8 (someday).

I'm glad to see Chevy pushing the vette higher and higher. In fact, I think the new Camaro looks pretty damn good as well. I just can't seem to bring myself to want anything domestic these days.

I agree; for the same money, I'd opt for either a used TT, 2002-04 360 Modena or a R8. The inherent depreciation on the Vette and outward looking common appearance won't make it worth the $117K sticker. Once the market corrects itself with the GTR's, there are going to be some unhappy campers who spent the $25-30K over sticker as well. Nice being the first to have, but that's a hard core premium All that being said, Kudos to Chevy for making the new Vette and Camaro! I also like the look of the new Dodge Challenger as well!

Now now, Track Nerds? Care less?

Same could be said about fake wings made in LA that are not wind-tunnel tested and comparing the "look" to see if one sits better than another that take up the majority of the threads on this once great forum.

Dude beacause you got beef with Choi you got to dog everybody with a non-OEM wing What's up with that? How many aftermarket parts are wind tunnel tested and come with a OEM/DOT/TUV stamp of approval? Misha & some Mashaw wings are just shortened versions of the GT2 wings designed by Porsche. Are they as good as the original, of course not but that proably isn't the reason most people buy them. Cost and looks.

PS. Not that I'm a fan of his, but I think he was trying to compliment Ray S initially by saying the others couldn't drive as well as him

WTF is up with all the weak *** BS??

Just saying check out the new top notch performer out there.
Those Americans are working it, not laying down for anyone

I used to own corvettes. I'm long done with that though.
Just the thought of being associated with that crowd again...

As far as other American cars go, not into them either, period

But even at twice + the $$$ nothing touches the performance of it, hats off to that + a much improved interior + etc...

My best friend sells Chevys and owns a new Z06. He has already sold a ZR1 and has driven one on a track before they were released. He told me the ZR1 is flat out amazing and this comes from a guy who also ownes a 1200HP drag Mustang.
I like the ZR1 and the GTR but I would buy a different car myself.
