Daytime Running Light Relay on US 996?

Hi...If I am importing an '00 996 Cab into Canada, do I just need to install the Porsche Daytime Running Light Relay

"996 615 111 00" ? (on eBay at that link)

Or do I need to use one of the DIY hacks?

Any and all advice appreciated!!

I brought my cab in from California and that was the only thing that I had to do with it.
Not a DIY hack!!
