Does anyone know if seats from a 997 will go in a 996? I suspect they will fit but I am concerned about the wiring and airbag in the seats. Anyone done this? Thanks

 

you know i am wondering teh same thing... Sport or the Adaptive Seats... will they fit?

 

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they will fit, but of course the built in side airbags won't work. I'm not sure about electronics either, but if its an entirely manual seat, it should be ok.

My reasoning is that 996 seats fit in a 997 with the same mounting points, and the interior specs of the 997 are MORE cramped than the 996, meaning the seats would be slightly narrower than 996 seats, if anything.

This is only a guess. I suppose a shop like Lucent or GMG would be able to give a more concrete answer.

 

the car's going to look anachronistic with the newer seats. best bet is the sport 996 seats which still look fantastic esp with painted backs.

haha, i was just coming on to see what your aesthetic eye was going to say about this one and almost blurted soda all over the place (literally, it wasnt a euphamism, i dont have some vocab-erotic condition)
