Replaced my airbox
This mod does nothing to performance but improves the look and easy to clean engine bay!
The original 996 airbox is awesome.... if you live in the 80's!
Suncoast had these for dirt cheap and I decided to try it and they even have return policy in case something goes wrong.
2 modifications are needed:
A relocation bracket for the smog pump (the new snorkel is huge)
One little piece of plastic that need to be removed in order to clear the locking hump.

Everything bolts right on. The new ducts to the TB, the MAF, cables, everything. The oil filler tube, rest on its place and the new snorkel aligns perfectly with the opening. You can still use your old 996 air filter!
Nothing more than visual improvement but I like it!

price was a very affordable $49.99.
Ordered yesterday, delivered today. I love Steve Russell at Suncoast!

The body of the snorkel is wider, that's why you need to move the pump away with a nifty bracket that Steven sent me too!!!!

Yeah... been busy!!!! LOL!!!!! I also installed the LED third brake light on the fixed position and also on the spoiler. Nice touch.

that looks damn clean, if not for the evoms i have in there (which doesn't look as clean as that box above), i'd swap it.

Found it under their specials section, but it says only one available, first come first served. Taken off a 997. Maybe they will have more of them, who knows.

Saw that....but it is a different box, for the 3.8.

Maybe the had only one or 2 for the 3.6 like the one he got.
