Why is it.....

That some Porsche dealers sell parts for cheap and others rip you off. For example, Brandywine Porshe, Suncoast Porsche and Sunset seem to be very competitive. Side skirts for $579. Litronics for $1100, clear side markers for $25, Hardtops for $599. Meanwhile other Porsche dealers are charging Triple. What gives? Is it that these dealers are selling below cost? Or are they ordering new cars with certain options then swappingthem out, or buying from the OEM manufacturer directly?

John,
this is a known issue & most of the time it makes us look bad. Porsche parts have huge mark up as u know, therefore there the discount will be huge if u buy it at the right time. if one dealer get the right parts for the right time from the P warehouse usually the price will be a lot lower the even our cost. this sux but it's just the way it is... i've learned the hard way. put it this way, Porsche is ripping the dealers off, well, what can u do.

Ditto on Arling's comments. We buy many of our oem Porsche parts through euro distributors at some savings. However, we do source some from US dealers who offer competitive pricing.

Many times all you have to do is ask. Some of our dealer/customers offer parts to Porsche owners at cost + 15%, if you know who to call.

Email me if you need a source, anytime.

This is aggravating. Sometimes you will buy from a dealer for one price and then see an add from the same dealer with a cheaper price. Oh well I guess this is business....They have to make a living too.
