Laser Jammer Installation

Hi all,

Anyone out there know of a link to a DIY article with pictures on the installation of a laser jammer?

Trying to find a way to run the front and rear wiring without doing much, if any, drilling to the main body shell to get them ran into the cab.

Cheers
Aaron

I've had one of these sitting on the shelf for nearly a year. I layed out my cables and they are not long enough to reach into the cabin from the front bumper. So, I'm looking at either using it in another vehicle or leaving the control module in the trunk. I think there is a pass thru from the trunk to the cabin so you don't have to drill.
For mounting to the front bumper, it looks like the easiest thing to do is completely remove the bumper. I could not find a spot to run the cables with it on. (I have never removed the bumper before.)

I'm interested in this also. Let me know if you find anything.

I installed them on my 996TT and my 997TT. We did not take the bumper off at all.

What we did is first mount the 2 units in the grills. Then we snaked the wires up and went underneath the plastic that lines the hood area to the battery terminal. From there there is a pass thru where the CD changer or stock AMP goes to the factory head unit through the fire wall.

On my 996TT, we mounted the on off switch in the center console and the speaker/light behind the radio trim on the left side as pictured. On the 997TT we mounted it on the left side foot well carpet near the door jam to be more "hidden". Hop that helps

These are the only pics I could find... See attached.

Where did you run the cable from the head to get it inside the trunk area? I took off the front plastic cover by the trunck latch, but could not see a way thru.

I'll have to get under there again and see what I can do. I seem to think I tried that ran into a blocked area. Thanks for the info.

What brand jammer do you have?
