no reason to read the 996TT forum. i am back to only one 996.

my TT is gone. i will miss it, but i can honestly say, i have been enjoying the regular C2 just as much, if not more.

my wife has had one heck of a year in her DD...

within the past 2-3 months she went:

'05 acura rl -----> '04 996TT ------> '00 C2 -----------> '02 WRX

i gave her the yellow C2 to drive, and i tried to DD a C5 Z06. that didnt last too long. i couldnt take it and wanted the C2 back. so i bought her the subaru, which was a steal anyways.

i never enjoyed the 996 TT forum anyways. too much big turbo talk and 60-130 times.

the replacement for the TT comes next week. can't wait....

i'm loving your aero mk1. the TTs are definitely for the muscle car crowd. there's no finesse in that car. it's an accomplished gt bruiser, especially since departing from the smaller, lighter, lower volume 993 days.

i guess its not really a replacement, as the C2 is really the replacement for the turbo.

but i'm picking up something thats a lot less reliable, with ridiculous maintenance costs, no racing heritage, and much poorer build quality.

which = something italian.

somebody said to me: "doors go up, panties go down".

too bad i'm married. oh well should be fun.

Could you tell us what company that is doing the transport?
Looks to me like one to keep at the top of the list... Any gripes? Besides they took your turbo away

the shipper:
http://www.gt-ms.com/

i dont have any gripes, but this is the first time i have used them. so too soon to tell. but they were referred to me by a lambo dealer, who has shipped hundreds of cars with them without incident.

definitely a sad day to loose my turbo. it was the first fancy car i ever bought and my first porsche. i owned it for two yrs and over 50k miles. i think i definitely got my monies worth.

hopefully, it wont be my last turbo. one day when the 997TT's have depreciated similarly, i would like to get one as a DD.

also within a week or so, another truck should be coming, but to drop off! woo woo!

thanks for the info... and once again, sorry about your loss. you know she would have wanted you to be happy and keep driving. it sounds like you won't let her down.
good luck in this tough time.
