OEM quality silver bulbs for MKII 996s (made by Philips)

This is a no-brainer mod for you 996 MKII folks.

I don't like amber bulbs on my silver car or any car. I like it blinking amber for safety reasons and can't stand people who put the silly blue bulbs in their lighting units. Just a stupid look.

I've purchased bulbs off of ebay before. The problem with them is two-fold: 1) due to the silver coating, the brightness is significantly reduced when turned on; 2) they don't last very long.

The bulbs in the link below replace the front turn signal bulbs and the rear ones, too. It's the four-pack bundle, but I believe you can also get them in 1 set of two bulbs as well.

I think it cost me something like $34 shipped or more precisely 21.28 British Pounds.

Thanks to deckman for helping me find this site a while back!

Best,
Ben

Just get the four-bulbs bundle. It'll save you a couple bucks. It's the link I posted.

Good stuff. Enjoy, man.

BTW, I have no affiliations with the vendor. Just super happy to find the bulbs at a fair price. Ebay bulbs are a rip-off.

I agree with Ben, the Philips Sivlervision bulbs look great and are very bright. I performed the "aberectomy" on my car and with the Silvervision bulbs it looks great. I also changed my side markers to clear LEDs that light up and blink amber so when they are off there is no orange at all.

I purchased mine from the place Ben recommends so that is another thumbs up from me.
