The water pump leaking is also non supercharged related part. The supercharger is not putting any more load or wear and tear on the components that you are having a problem with. If you take a look around you will find that these problems are not all that uncommon.

Your VF kit is running great though, you are making a lot of horsepower, you are having no driveability issues and the supercharger is acting exactly how one would expect it to. You know exactly what is wrong with your car, you know exactly how to fix it, unfortunately it does require your car being down for a week or so but at least you know what the problem is. It could be a lot worse Jason, you could be driving around and not have a solution to your problem, that's what would drive me crazy.

Don't worry though, winter is here and we will get all these problems resolved soon. You are gonna have a great time on the turkey run next week and after that we are going to give your car some TLC. I will give you a call in the next couple of days to go over what we will do after the turkey run.

-Craig
thanks Craig

No problem Jason. Hopefully I will make it out to the turkey run too. We are trying to get Tim's car ready to go on it but we have a lot of work cut out for us to make that a reality.

Jason, Craig is right, right now I am going nuts trying to figure out what the gas cut-off problem might be. I really am at a loss and my mechanic just doesn't know what else to do. I emailed Delius at VF today about this and waiting his response.

The Porsche book says that P1508 necessitates a new DME, I hope not!

How does the SC bolt up to the intake manifold, it it directly alum to alum with gaskets or is their a rubber boot in their somewere.
Sounds like a vacume or booste leak.

OK, I decided to yank the ecu and send it back to VF to check out. I hope am wrong but so far, all indications are something wrong with the software, especially to cause that P1508.

just to give you guys an update, the problems with my supercharge kit has been resolved.

no more CEL lights and no more codes (after 4 days of hard driving and about 500 miles)

so keep this in mind for troubleshooting your SC. if you're getting 2nd air pump bank 1 and bank 2 it's related to an air leak in the system.

my car went into the RPM north and they put a smoke machine on the car and found that it was a clamp on one of the hoses where air was leaking. changed out a new clamp, tightened it up and no more CEL!!!

good luck with your issues 911toronoto
