Help w/ Wheels

Hi,

Also a new comer. Can anyone direct me towards the best rims for my "99 996 Artic Silver w/ full Aero Kit???

I want the rims and tires to be reasonable. I have the silver calipers so black rims with a polished finish may look good. Also, is it woth it to have the calipers redone in yellow and where and how much$$$.

I am interested in your thoughts and what direction to take.

TY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wheels are really a matter of personal taste however I can help get you into a good manufacturer pending on what kind of budget you are working with and what you like. Feel free to PM me with what you may have in mind, thanks.

Joel,

I think they need to be powder coated and then clear coated. Who does this and how much money.

what wheels do you have currently... and what do you like?
one thing to keep in mind... go for light weight wheels.
you like the 2/3 piece look? want a fat lip?
or you like something like the OEM light 5 spokes?

i agree, a silver car and silver calipers, go with the black wheel... but I always like flat black over any other black... but that is just my 2 cents.

Something like these HRE 542R would look sweet on an aero...silver finish with polished lip...then paint the calipers red for contrast...

If you like the HRE 542R (IMHO are one of the best looking wheels) there was a member selling a set with NB fit last week. His screen name is flat6. Do a search and Im sure youll find him. He had them for a great! price.

mine are similar to those HREs above... I am not a big fan of mine, and I never thought they were that popular.
hmmm, maybe time for me to really think about a for sale post.

You opened up a can of worms when you entered into the market of wheels! GL with your search. I'm still looking, but I got married 3 months ago so I'm just trying to keep the 911 before the kids arrive...yikes

Calipers were cleaned, sanded, cleaned again, primed with hi temp ceramic, coated with hi temp ceramic yellow and clear coated... again with, you guessed, hi temp ceramic.

+1 on this question. I've done searches and seen VE Wheels come up in searches for Porsches but I haven't seen any 6speed members post pics with them.
