Need a quick opinion

Tomorrow I am having my 03 cab go into the body shop to put on a turbo bumper. The original had a lot of rock chips(more than I could count) I like the look of the turbo bumper better so I figured might as well replace it. At the same time should I have the body shop fix and repaint the hood?(which also has many rock chips) Will this reduce the value, is the replacement paint not as good? Now someone could say " you had the car repainted it must have been damaged" I am also nervous about the quality of the paint...I know the paint process can not match the Porsche factory.

What do you guys think.

If the shop is as good as the best there is, they can match it perfectly. Do your homework. We match 20 year old Porsches with no problem.

In addition, how bad is the hood? If not too bad, I'd leave it alone. The replacement bumper being different from stock, it would be obvious why you painted it - but the hood's another story.

Check the shops work with references and local PCA folks. Our process matches the factory paint exactly - every time. They should be using Spies-Hecker products. Check and see their work in person to be sure.

Cool

Eric is correct.
If they're the best, they'll match it.
Might as well paint the hood too.
Take pictures before the work is done for reference later if needed.

Hey Eric,
I love my door plug. Thanks!
