spacer recommendation

I have an 02 996 cab with carrera 5 spokes. I want to add spacers to the wheels and wanted to know what size everyone recommends. I originally was going to put 7mm all around, but it seams like there are alot of Kits that have 7mm for the front and 14mm for the rear. Is that the normal size? I would love to have both the front and rear be wide without sticking past the fender.

TIA

John

If you get spacers over 5mm in the front, be sure you get hubcentric. I know a lot of mfgs make 10+mm hubcentric, but I only know of one manufacturer that makes 7mm: Ruf. You may be able to dig them up.

Thanks TD. I am really only interested in the H & R spacers. I believe they are all hubcentric. I had H & R 7mm all aound on my boxster S

14mm H&R hubcentric on the front, 5mm OEM shimms on the rear. Originally had 5mm all round but with the increased camber from the K&Ws a larger axle width could be utilised. No rubbing on compressed full lock...

Thanks all. I bought the H & R 7mm for the back and 14mm for the front. This seemed to look the best in my opinion

Please post photos of your lowered narrow body 996 with wheel spacers. I just lowered my 996 C2 with H&R coilovers, about 1-1/2 inches all around. The lowered stance makes the wheels looked too tucked in (esp the fronts) and I would like to bring them out more flush to the fenders. Looking at some photos would help me decide which size spacers to get. thanks.

I have a C2 lowered with PSS10's with 15mm H&R's on all corners and stock 18" Carrera 5 spokes. I have not noticed any rubbing. My car sits about an inch lower than stock.

Thanks, guys. 15mm for the front looks perfect. Does anyone have a photo of a lowered car with 7mm rear spacers?

15mm front, 7mm rear (borrowed).... I prefer this setup, rolling on Pirelli P Zeros... 285/30/18
