Lost Wheel Lock

Is there anyway to find out what wheel lock my car uses. I checked under the hood and it wasnt written on that little sticker. I would like to try and avoid the 50 minute drive to my nearest Porsche dealership. Thanks!

If you don't have the lock number recorded somewhere (I think there are about 30 different locks in a case) you probably have to bring the car down to the dealership. They would have to fit the lock on your wheel with every one in the case until they find the one that matches. I had to do that once.

Same thing happened to me. Had to take it to the stealer. They charged me $250.00 for a new set of lock nuts with key because they couldn't just sell me the key. Good luck!

IMHO, don't bother. I lost the key and my tire place had it off in 10 seconds w/ a lug nut remover.

I believe you got ripped off, I paid $28.64 for the lock-key. All they had to do was find the matching one. I now have the number for it if I need a replacement.

My wheel lock broke when i was trying to take the lug off... From what I see above, I should be able to go to my tire place and they can remove them for me? I need to replace all of my lugs anyway.

Yep, most tire shops have socket shaped tools that remove security lug bolts, but expect the security bolt head to be ruined in the process.

A very helpful dealership parts guy in Houston (Momentum) clued me in on the security lug tool...if you order a new security lug bolt, it comes with the tool, and it was cheaper than buying the tool itself (by $5-10 IIRC).
