Speed Yellow Guys...
Hit that beautiful "double yellow" with a few layers of Sovereign wax and POP! It will always be great . It does on my brothers vette.
I can read a book "backwards"....if you will....in the reflection from the car after layering about 4 coats of the wax on my 01 996 factory Aero black/black Pcar.
JoeyM, what a stunning collection! If you are ever bored....it is surely your own fault!!!

My old man had a 1955 Chev 1/2 ton step-side hot rod he built and painted in speed yellow. It was by far one of the hottest looking trucks on the road in that color and had I found a 996 Aero in speed yellow when I was looking I would have snagged it for sure.
The only issue he had with the color was it attracted bugs like crazy... i know people say they are supposed to be color blind, but the front of that thing was always covered in them after driving and the whole truck when parked.
Cheers

I love it. I was originally thinking of Silver (Artic or Polar), but the wife saw an Artic Silver and said, "Beautiful car, but it doesn't make my stomach flip." I said, "Ok, it's either Black or SY". She said no to the black because I'd wash it every time I drove it (she's right). Not that I don't like red, but I like it better on a mid-80's 911.
It took me a year between selling my seal grey 964 until I could find just the right Speed Yellow 996. Now 2 years later I have no regrets waiting for what I wanted. Bonus with yellow, it still looks bright and clean even when filthy.
I love yellow on cars that can pull it off. Only reason I haven't gotten a yellow car before is 1) I never found one that was in good enough condition and at the right price, and 2) Yellow to me does lose some appeal in the winter months. I love it most of the time, but a yellow car in the middle of a snowstorm just looks a little out of place to me.
I havent seen a yellow 911 in some time tho

I have to say, your car is absolutely stunning. I'd never stop looking at it if it were in my garage.
I'm really really in love with speed yellow and think when it comes time to move into the 997 world I'm going to go with speed yellow. My question is does it get old to look at on a daily basis? My only concern is that the "wow that's cool" factor would wear off quickly. Opinions please...

Only color that I thought of.
