2001 911

I have a 2001 911 that has a terrible buzz or vibration in the speaker when playing music that has a bit of bass in it... is that because the sound box is shot? i pulled the drain plugs from the bottom of the passenger side door out and i can feel the distortion from the sound box but goes away when i put my finger on it.
Is this repairable or should i just find a new speaker?
Any help would be appreciated... Ken

Hi guys,
I'm sure it's been discussed before but since we're on the topic, I have the non hifi stereo. How do I get the speaker pods and door panels w/o going to the dealer? Is someone modding them or selling them?
Thanks,
Brendan

Door speaker buzzing and or rattling can be caused by something as simple as the door speaker enclosure screws coming loose. Check that before you go removing the enclosure and or replacing the speaker.

+1 - I cut little squares out of Dynamat and put one between each screw and the plastic speaker enclosure. That stopped all of my little rattles.
