possible offset on my 996?

I saw someone selling some wheels with these specs 20x8.5 5-130 ET55 rears 20x10 ET45. Anyone know if these can fit my narrowbody 996? Sorry I know its probably a newb question.

I think you really have a good chance of them fitting! The back seems like it may be real aggresive! But Why dont you go 19??? You can fit a huge tire in the rear??

Do you really want a 20" wheel? I've seen pics a few times and it just doesn't look right. 19's are the absolute largest I'd go with.

I agree completely! But its your car bud! Just trying to keep you from making a choice you might regret!

In addition, 20's really make the brake rotors look tiny.

Front will have around 10mm less room, but extend an extra mm or 2. The rears will extend about an inch. So the wheels should fit.

But you will have to run some low profile tires to make sure the tires don't rub. I don't know exactly how much room you'll have, but OEM diameter is 25", and 20" rims run ~27" wheels. Not to mention those 20" wheels are gonna cost you some serious coin - and they will ride like poo-poo-ca-ca.

Good luck! (but I suggest thinking about some 19s!)

As others stated. The rims will fit but the tires is another story.

According to the tire offset calculator, that's just over an inch more to the outside than stock. I would think that would be pushing it, even after rolling the fender. Maybe have to shave the rotor hat a few mm too???
