Hi guys,
I installed a rain sensor in my 996, so I had no use for the intermittent wiper switch. I started looking into what to replace it with, didn't had alot of option, another power outler? what about a start button??
So I tried a couple of universal kit out there, but they either didn't work or switches really didn't match with the interior decor, so I customized a kit with the proper relay and wires, and found a switch, which sits flush with the trim.
Now all I gotta do is put the key in, press the button and voila!!

Whats good about this switch is that you can take off the little cap to customize it, like painting it to the color of your choice or leave it red.
I decided to paint it silver with 911 written on it (its coming not done yet).

here are some pics, the cap is originally red with engine start white lettering.
Also, I modded a power outlet light to light up for the switch.
bad picture quality due to cheap camera.

I tried many kits out there, does not work since they are universal and Porsche's alarm/immobiliser does not tolerate these changes...
I assembled this kit specifically for the 996s, no issue.
I also wired up the light and gave it a oem look.
