Thumbs up TechArt GT Street Rear Bumper for our 996s

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to see if people are feeling this new bumper I had custom made for my car. This is the 997 TechArt GT Street rear bumper that I had custom modified to fit my 996. What do you guys think? Should I keep the 996 bumper with the TechArt add-on or do the 997 GT Street rear bumper?

Thanks!

Jason

here is a picture of my car with the 996 bumper and TechArt Add-on:

here are the pictures of the 997 GT Street rear bumper on a 996:

I don't even like it on the 997... the first picture is the best. Can looks right in all the ways it should.

Jason,

I think it will look awesome and very aggressive. It will work on your car since you have the TA front and sides already. You owe it to yourself to do it... you started it after all

Some better pics

I'd much prefer the 996's bumper, but if you end up doing the 997, I would be willing to buy your 996 rear bumper.

I like the TechArt bumper as the Avatar on the main message board, but it doesn't look right to me on the 996. Thanks for trying this as it swayed me away from considering it. However, your car, do whatever you like!

I personally don't like it. Looks like your dragging a**. Out of proportion.

I think the slats are way too exaggerated. but the bottom bits with the exhaust do look trick... and obviously the lack of the bumperettes is always a good thing.

I dont know Jason... It doesnt look balanced. It def looks like crap on that stock wing turbo...Way to rear heavy.... unless you want to do what Iforged did with his green turbo.

To pull it off you'd have to do a 997 front end conversion and change the side skirts...I say leave as is...

Only reason to switch it up is if you're bored, because it looks great as is.

Not a big fan. Looks okay from the rear but the side view just looks off and somewhat crude. The 996 rear with the add on's looks much better.
