those are Porsche tequipment... an option on the 99-01 996.

im looking into getting a 02 carrera and want those tips or something similar. how much do they run and where can i get them?

That looks like my car, Aero, Teq roll bar and GT3 seats as well but I'm Ocean Metallic Blue... maybe those tips are standard with the Aero kit?

The SY has larger OEM tips, thats one of the very first pics taken when I bought her....
I'm surprised that these pics are still on BRG....

Not standard equipment as I have factory Aero and standard tips.

That's how mine are. They're not on with clamps or anything, all one pipe and part of the exhaust!

I'm confused now since mine came from the factory that way. Was that an option then? And if so, why does it not show up on my "options" list?

It's possible that the Dealer 'added' them, but highly unlikely. If it's not an exclusive option on your MSRP, then the tips were added later.........
