Question about Aasco LTWFW

I'm trying to decide whether to install a OEM dual mass flywheel or LW Aasco. This is the Aasco I am looking at:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...30%35%29%20%20

My question is, if I buy this flywheel, can I still use the OEM clutch kit I already bought? Or do I need different clutch parts (disc, throwout bearing, pressure plate, etc.)?

TIA

When going from a dual mass flywheel to a solid flywheel, you're going to get a decent amount of rattling at idle with the clutch out, and accelerating/decelerating through 3000ish rpm.

A sprung clutch disk will help this but not make it go away entirely. I decided that the rattle wasn't worth it for me, but lots of people have gone sprung hub clutch/solid flywheel and haven't complained.

AASCO FLYWEEL Applications

Drifter 12,

Assuming your car is a 2003 996, and you are running the AASCO flywheel #106411-11, the OE clutch kit is compatible. Another benefit of the AASCO flywheel besides the reduced mass, is the replaceable friction surface. Things get a little complicated when you run sport clutches such as the Sach’s sprung hub setup.

RSS is a Premier AASCO Distributor and would be happy to answer any other questions you might have regarding AASCO products and or applications.

I have the Aasco LTWFW but had a clutch specifically made for mine and the supercharger on the car. They are right about the chatter but the performance increase in revs with the blower was fine with me. Every once and a while, people ask if there is something wrong with the car. I simply smile and let them know that it just waiting to get out and take a deep breath.
