Does a Plenum make that much of a difference for our 996?

If so which one should I get out of the first 2 here in picture below? Anyone have a Plenum and can you give me some idea if it is worth it to purchase.

This will be fun, there hasn't been a plenum debate recently. Just so you know this has been debated thoroughly here and on the other boards. But there remain true believers and non-believers.

I think the results of a plenum install depends on whether you run 0W-40 or a higher weight oil!!!

No we can really have debates

Everyone knows to get the full HP gain from a plenum you need to use 15W-50 AND use the K&N filter. No real need to argue about that.

So how does this help using this type of oil and filter? I just had the oil changed and they used a 5W-40 synthetic. Is this ok?

Cool

The oil and air filter are helpful........

But....if you set the tire pressure to 2.7lbs higher than the recommended, and set the lugnut torque to 98 ftlbs, it will really maximixe the realized gains.
