I got my first Porsche!

hello everyone
I am new here
After reflecting for two long nights I decided to purchase a 996 Carrera 2.
Why this Porsche?
The Turbo, the GT3 and the GT3 would've be surely too much for me, and I find the C2 the best compromise of sport car easy to have fun and risk less.
It's lighter than any 996 and it is rear wheel traction, the best to have fun.

Now I am going to explore how it goes as standard and then I have a couple of ideas of 18 inch wheels with a good suspension job, and why not a GT2 techart body kit!

here are some pics the day I bought it.

With all due respect Captain, and with apologies to those who have already posted on this thread, please can we clarify a couple of points? This is incredibly similar to a lot of cr*p that was recently posted on Rennlist and Flat-6 where genuine users were strung along.

Whereabouts in Manchester and Cannes do you live? A little background would be interesting. And do you have any other pictures of the 996 other than those from the dealership?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Fozzy,
no problem, I understand what you mean but however you can't expect from someone to start telling his life

I will make you happy
I am moving in Manchester very soon for University but since now I lived in south of France. You can notice the italian plate on my 147 because I am also italian, and the I purchased the Porsche in Italy. As soon a get the car from the dealer ( still have to pick it ) I will post without any problem how many pictures you would like
Hope that's ok for you.

Now let's talk about the car.

996 Carrera 2 , MY 2002, first immatriculation in end 2001.
28000km
have almost 15000 euros of options.
new was bought at 94000 euro

me I payed it 65000 euro

the car have the following options:

bi xeno
sport exhaust ( internal )
FULL LEATHER
leather seats
PCM
PSM
Phone
Audio BOSE
CD Charger
metalic paint
electric seats
park sensor
and some other small personalisation ( as white background on the speed counter etc )

et voilÃ*

Afraid it just doesn't work for me, and not sure I want to dignify this by a reply running through all the various arguments, but this is too obviously an action replay. Perhaps anyone who reads this can make up their own minds before continuing this thread.

Pages 2 and 3 (see Rodrigo + Consiere Barone)......

Rennlist troll

Very long and rambling thread and probably not worth going through completely, but sample page 6 (thegodfather + Rodrigo throughout)....

Rennlist troll 2

Same spelling, grammar, 2 homes in the US / South of France, UK / South of France, Italian connection, dealer pictures of the car, no other pictures available etc etc. Remarkable coincidence. This didn't start out as a witch-hunt, merely surprise at wasting peoples time and good nature, but it's getting pretty annoying.

Ok, it seems that you don't change your mind.

Listen, I have no problem to proove my existence and my cars but I don't understand whats the point. Only because you don't beleive me?
I exchanged a couple of PM with the GodFather on flat 6 forum couple of weeks ago exactly because I saw he was from Cannes.

Anyway, if you want to have a chat by phone email me.

PS you are obliging me to show my ugly face to all...lol , here is two pics, one with the porsche last week "always at the dealer" and one with my 147 GTA.

PS2: a suggestion for life ( shouldn't normally say this because you are probably older than me, but just don't be so sure of your self and your ideas on someone.

Radical SR3, first radical imported in Italy, my friend it's just crazy, he came from Milan to Cannes with the car

Oh, here are some pics on the Croisette.

why I post those pics? just to show you that I exist and I am not Godfather or who else you suppose that I am.

Mate, my major sense of deja-vu is only reinforced further by the last post. I just don't believe in this degree of coincidence. I'd be delighted to chat about 911s with you, but hope you don't mind if I don't suspend my disbelief until I see a couple of pictures of the car away from the dealers forecourt. As and when that point comes I'll be delighted to retract every word.
