EVO/Akkurat CF Mirrors:)
I've wanted CF mirrors for a long time but never found anyone that could do a good enough job (I didn't feel like paying close to 2k for the Porsche ones either)... A while back I talked to Mike at EVO at the GAF this year after seeing some of the work that was done on Todd's car. Mike/Todd got the ball rolling and specced out some carbon fiber covered 996 mirrors and here are the results on my car today (pardon all the dust on the rest of the car but we are working on it lol).
I'm really happy with the results so great job Mike! He has promised to make a limited first run of these and at a price of $650 for the pair (just send in your new cores or have us get them for you - around 90 bucks) if you're interested in a set.
I put them next to yellow (Robyn's car), seal grey (Kirby's), black (mine) and Fred's in silver and it looked bling bling hawt. Well done Mike!!! So far I have 4 people locally (some of the above) "in" for this first run and I could probably add another 6 or so people if need be on a "group buy" type thing. Turn around time once we fill slots will be about 2-3 weeks.

Sharky, any chance you could get your CF supplier to duplicate the GT3RS wing. I hear that they're hard to come by and the factory charges a huge price. Should be good demand between the GT3 crowd and the Aerokit II people...

i just don't think they look all that aestetically pleasing. starts to break up the lines, something else to look at...could they be painted? would look ok on black cars i suppose.

It's tempting but I just spend my $ on some new wheels... I'll check yours out and then decide if the CF mirrors are really for me.
