Deputydog, still no rear bumper?
Hey Deputydog I was just wondering how the rear bumper turned out. Did you get it back yet? Can you post some pics?
I was thinking this should be my next mod. Any advice?

Almost there! The body of the car is totally painted. I checked up on it the other day, and they finally got the oem front turbo, rear anziano turbo, anziano turbo wing, oem mirrors, handles, and rear blind painted and buffed out. The anziano stuff does look great now that it's been painted. They had to do quite a bit of prep on the rear bumper and wing, but seems even techart and gemballa do as well, so you might as well save the money. It will still require some minor wetsanding once it's done, but that's pretty normal after painting. They fit it up the car before painting and said it looked good. It will hopefully be ready this week (fingers crossed). I promise a whole pile of pics once it's done.
car still isn't ready. wtf? anyway, stopped by to see it. looks badass with the bumper and spoiler on there. 2 thumbs up on the bumper. fit is awesome. looks perfect. took a lot of prep to smooth it out, but well worth it. still needs to be wetsanded and buffed though. there were some raised clearcoat specks and i also noticed a small scratch near the plate. tech said wetsanding and buffing will take care of all that. they don't wet sand and buff till the part is mounted on the car because it is easier to keep it steady. makes sense. pics to follow if my car ever comes home
i'm dying to get the car back.
been almost two months, but i got stuck with a bunch of hurricane duty all over the state so i wasn't really home to drive it anyway.
no, but i wish i had. i kept forgeting to take my digicam with me.
The due date was about four friday's ago, so you're guess is as good as mine

probably... but then I have the decision to make of whether or not to drive it without the clear bra?
i may just have to wait a couple weeks. i'd hate to chip it up before i can get the clear on there.

Who are you using for the clear bra?
a guy named Ryan from autoclearguard. he's done some porsche's before. he' even got a turbo he did on his web page, so at least i know he's done one before as i hear they're diffifcult. i'm doing the bumper, hood, mirrors, wheel arches, A-pillars, cross support over the windshield, door cups, jams, and probably just behind the front and rear wheels. it's going to cost around $600 installed. he comes to your house to do it and the only requirement is that i give him a hand with front as it takes two people. seems fair enough.
gary, is there someone you've used before?

guess you have no choice but to use this guy since you have the techart piece. i'm sure most of these guys are the same till you get into the custom work. seems just like tinting windows. mine is getting done at saturday. i can ask him about your front end if you like.
