Passenger door lock grinds when locking
Passenger door lock grinds when locking
Just got my first Porsche and it's in great shape except for an annoying little grinding noise near the front 1/4 panel when I lock the doors. It's not like something is binding, more like a scraping noise. The operation doesn't seem to be negatively affected so I am thinking it's a gear skipping a tooth or something? Is that possible.
Thanks for any experience you might be able to share.

I have the same thing on my car. I believe it's the locking pin for the fuel door. I noticed it a while ago too. Haven't gotten around to fixing it though. I assume that you just have to realign something so the pin goes where it's supposed to.
Hope this helps!

I think you're 100% correct. After poking around with it and paying attention to exactly where it's coming from, it seems to be the mechanism that locks the fuel door. I will post results after putting some time into it.
Thanks for the input.
