It looks like he replaced the front subframe too. That can't be cheap and it's a lot of labor. Not to mention all the radiators for the engine, tranny, and AC must have been toast.

In the end these projects aren't worth it though.

You could get non-salvaged MKI for close to$20K now. Minus the head ache and effort of fixing that one. And good luck getting anything for the car when it's time to sell compared to selling one that has a clean history.

 

10k is a good price for the extent of repairs. Get your skirts!

I'd say 15 mph TOPS (considering that the govt 30 mph head on collision test practically demolishes the whole front end of a car).

If he hit anything at 90 mph AND he survived, he'd be Superman. Otherwise, he would be in several pieces along with the car.

 

Probably was going 90 before the........ brake........ and crash...
