1999 C2 and my AC sucks. I saw these bottles at the local Auto Zone where I can do myself to add. Are these ok to do for my porsche?

My AC works great. I did use one of those bottles for my daughter 00 Durango and it worked great. Ice cold air after about 10 minutes.

Mine sucks especially when I come to a light it just blows warm but it's just ok at speed and I am in phoenix and it's only getting hotter. Anyone know what the temp coming out of the vent is supposed to be?

I have a '99 and the air con is super!
Ice cold air whenever i put it on and even though i live up in Montreal, our summer days will go into the high 90's.

my 03 c2 definitely ranks as the best ac i have ever had. and compare to my previous lotus or viper, it's amazing.

get yours serviced by someone that knows what they are doing. putting in too much or too little is bad. you need to use pressure gauges to get it right. and you probably have a leak if it's way low.

So if I get one of these bottles from Auto Zone which does have gauges attached do i attach in back where engine bay is or the front where condensors are? Does the front bumper have to come off possibly?

"Hey kid, you're going to shoot your eye out!"

There is a low pressure valve and a high pressure valve. Plug into the wrong one and bang!

The proper set of gauges plug into both the high and low side and the readings of the 2 sides are interpreted to know when the system is charged properly.

That crappy can is not the right way to do it, but let us know how it works out?

I haven't needed to work on this car's AC, but to help you out, the high pressure side is between the compressor and the radiator in the front bumper. And the low pressure side is between the expansion valve and the radiator on the inside of the car.

what do you mean by the inside of the car exactly? Like inside the car by stereo? or inside the bumper?

Inside the dash near the cabin air filter.

If you are hell bent on doing this yourself, you can rent (for free at O'Reillys) a set of gauges and there's a web site where you can download a PDF of the car manuals that will have a section on the AC. I don't have that link handy and the files are on my home PC. But a search, and you should be able to find them. Lots of info on Google about how to do this right.
