New 996 Cab Owner
New 996 Cab Owner
Hello,
I wanted to share the excitement of getting my first porsche and maybe see if anyone knows (or was) the original owner of my 996 cab. Here are some pics of my new car. Def get more looks/compliments with this car than my now retired M3 vert. As you can see, it has the aero kit, champion (look) wheels, suspension and exhaust (have not confirmed what brand and specifics of the suspension as well as exhaust) - but it sounds awesome. Let me know what you guys think. I did get an extended warranty (EasyCare) for the next three years in case of any RMS/IMS/Bearings/Engine issues - I had it checked out at the Porsche dealer (PPI completed) and the RMS is completely dry, which of course I was happy to hear.

I usually don't like the added body parts, but I have to say they look great on this car - and I really like the blue top!
I have a triple black 03 cab and have been using it on the NJ turnpike with the top down. Nothing like getting the Bayway and Hess Refinery's cat ******* fumes in your hair!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I appreciate the feedback. These cars are in a league of their own. I enjoyed my M3, but still does not have the same feel as this porsche for a few reasons, but its hard to pinpoint without sounding pompous - I haven't found the right words to describe the difference yet. I am an enthusiast by heart, not for the name or attention - I truly find driving (these type of cars) therapeutic. Not to mention the lines on these cars are beautiful.
I would remove the front license brackets, but the cops in my area are just cold-hearted...I got enough tickets with my M3 not having a front license plate (maybe my bad luck - even tried keeping the tag on the front dash in sight through the front windshield), but cant chance it around this area unfortunately.
I normally would agree with you on the interior color. I am finding this color combination very classy (and classic looking) imo. Maybe because similar colors were embedded into my head from boarding school (white, khaki, navy blue) haha - its been a number of years since I wore khaki dockers
Thanks - the night rider sounds nice - NJ turnpike could be a fun drive - I do appreciate the full service and cheaper gas prices there though. I def love having the top down - even if its a little cold out...nothing like having your heat blasting inside the car while getting fresh brisk air with the top down...haha
