Unhappy

Yea I'm pretty lucky to have a Porsche at my age. A lot of people are amazed a kid my age has a Porsche and think its ridiculous for a kid to have such a nice car. People don't give it a second thought when they see kids driving new vw rabbits or gti's that cost 17-25 grand that they are gonna drive for 5 years then sell at a huge loss. I guess for me its just a matter of buying smart. I have a 116,000 mile car that drives rock solid, that I honestly hope to keep for ever vs these kids that think of their car as a "starter car" and don't give a ****. I think if your gonna have a car as a kid, a Porsche at 17 is a great idea .

KwlAznKid-
Lol I don't know if I have you beat. A bmw at 15 before you even have a license is pretty cool, what model? What year 996, congrats!

Deckman-
Surprisingly I would have been happy driving my parents car, but they said if i wanted to drive I had have my own car.

JayFunk I have a question for you because your local. I was wondering if your a member of pca and if you autoX your car. There is an AutoX this weekend and was wondering if you new the rules for driving, because I can't be a member of PCA until I turn 18 so I was thinking of signing my dad up as a Pca member and going to the autoX as his guest, but I don't want to spend the money to find out there is some age restriction to driving or any other weird rule.

Does any body know where to buy a seat like this, I think its in a ruf but can't find anything on it

Thx,
Pierce

Pierce welcome to 6Speedonline...and congrats on your purchase.
Plan on saving lots of $$ for both Maint and mods....they seem to be closely related on 996s.
Sounds like you are on the right track with the maladies and you may be better off looking to buy replacement seats from a owner that has upgraded to GT3 or other options.
