I'm confused about what this is. I don't know much about RUF. Is it a modified GT3? What engine was shipped in U.S. versions for '01?

From the description in the ad:

The RGT is equipped with a RUF 3.6 Liter flat six producing 385HP. This dry sump engine was derived from the European version of the GT3 and was not available in the US until 2004.

Very very nice......curious how one would put a value on this car? What is Loan value?
With all 996s taking a dive in price seems to me even a RUF would suffer. 89k seems to be a pipe dream to me but what do I know? TT can be had for 1/2 of this cost.

I have seen this car in person, actually last month. It is a beautiful RGT. The feature I am impressed with most on the RUFs are the internal cages they build. They do an awesome job with integrating these under upholstery and headliners. Super cool cars and very rare.

By the way, RUFs have their own VIN numbers that are different from Porsches. They want you to know this!

I second that!

This example has been for sale more than a year. I've been following it on their website. Looks like RUF needs to bend a bit..........

I'd take a 997TT or 996 GT2 over this anyday. Nice car though--reasonable in the 60k's.
