Replacing the hood release switch

The previous owner of my car pushed in the hood release switch with his shoe. So, I only have the switch to open the trunk, but not the hood. the switch is down underneath that side kick panel, so I need to remove this panel and reattach/replace the switch.

Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove this? Most of them just snap in place, but I figure I'll ask first before I accidentally break something.

Thanks,

- Anthony

Here you go. It says Boxter S but it is actually from a 996 repair manual...

Thanks, I pulled off the panel yesterday. Those "bolts" are just there putting pressure on the sill panel to help hold it in place. I was able to remove mine without loosening the bolts, so maybe it was already removed once before. I think they are unnecessary as the clips holding the panel down aren't going to move, so I just unscrewed those bolts a bit and reinstalled the panel. This way it will be easier to remove if the switch gets pushed in again.
